What would the first session be like? After your first enquiry and initial consultation, if you wish to begin therapy you will be invited to our first session. We will meet at the agreed therapy room and after a check in, I will complete an assessment with you, where I will ask more information about what has brought you to counselling, if you have previous experience of counselling, and other questions about yourself. Once this is completed, you will have the rest of the session to use how you wish.
-
Do you offer introductory calls?Yes, I offer 20 minute consultations free of charge. These can either be over the phone or by video call via Google Meet. This is so you can share what has brought you to counselling and a bit about yourself. You can also ask me questions and we can get to know each other and decide whether to work together. Please make sure you have privacy for this call. Contact me to book an initial consultation.

Hove Osteopathic Clinic is a 6 minute walk from Portslade train station. It is also on the bus routes for the 1, 1A and 6. There is parking on New Church Road.

How much are sessions?Initial 20 minute consultation is free. If you wish to work together then fees are £50 per 50 minute session. To help make counselling more accessible, I also have a limited number of concessionary slots available for students or those on low incomes.
-
How long are sessions?Sessions are 50 minutes long and are in person. Sessions can be conducted over the phone or video call if agreed in advance.

How long will I need to be in therapy? This depends on the person and the reasons you have come to counselling. Some may choose to have short term therapy and may only attend for 4 - 6 weeks, whereas others may be in therapy for longer - it depends on what your needs are. Sessions are weekly.
